 Lauren and Scott's Fabulous Wedding at Penn Oaks Golf Club, Pennsylvania

 

Thank you to Lauren and Scott for choosing Lavender and Lace Wedding Photography!  We had a wonderful day to work with this amazing couple.  The weather was perfect, everyone looked incredible and the energy level was contagious!  Everyone was excited and happy when we arrived to do the getting ready shots, and the emotion was high when Lauren appeared for the first time in her bridal gown.  Elegant is the word that best describes how she looked, and radiant too. We consider it such an honor to be part of the happiest day of someone's day, and Lauren and Scott's wedding was no exception.   Seeing Lauren's Mom and sister gently help her with the veil, shoes and jewelry, you realize how important this day is to this couple.

It's such a special and once in a lifetime moment to capture the raw emotion between a bride and her Dad and as the bridal party leaves the foyer one by one for the altar, that emotion builds.  There's so much for Dad to say to his daughter before she "leaves" for her new life!  

Lauren and Scott's ceremony was made even more meaningful to them and the guests because their priest at St. Thomas the Apostle, read excerpts of letters they had written about each other.  This is a couple who will be together forever!  They know each other so well.  After the ceremony we took some great fun shots at Nemours Mansion, which is truly a hidden gem, and made for very memorable picturess.  And then the fun really began at the Penn Oaks Golf Club, where Scott and Lauren and all their guests had a delicious dinner and danced the night away!

The day started out with Lauren getting ready at her aunt's lovely home, all her bridesmaid's helping her look her best.  Her gorgeous dress was hanging, ready for the right moment!

 Last minute blush application, Lauren's excitement is hard to miss!

Kristen and Christopher were married in St. Anthony's church in Wilmington, DE. Not only did they pick a gorgeous church to get married in, but they also chose a beautiful wedding party. The reception was held at Deerfield Golf and Tennis Club in Newark, DE and the catering was done by The D restaurant. Kristen's sisters gave a speech that brought a tear to our eye, while Christopher's groomsmen had us gasping for air with laughter. It was a fun day and night and a pleasure working with the bride and groom!!

Jillian and Steve had a beautiful, classic wedding. They were married at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Wilmington, DE.  It was great weather and we were able to get some great shots outside of where they had their reception at Wilmington Country Club. Jillian and Steve were a wonderful, loving couple, and it shows in the great shots we got of them.

Kelly and Andrew were married at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Wilmington, DE. It was a beautiful ceremony and a perfect Spring day for a wedding. After the ceremony, the wedding party all came to Valley Garden Park for some amazing photos. Kelly and Andrew exuded happiness and we were so happy to capture it for them on their special day. The reception was held in the Grand Ballroom at the Mendenhall Inn in Mendenhall, PA. Kelly and Andrew are a wonderful couple and we had a fabulous time sharing their day with them.

Beth and Justin got engaged last year and on a whim, Beth entered to be chosen to get married on a reality TV show on TLC in Times Square, Manhattan. To her surprise, she won!! Beth knew that she needed to make sure she got some great pictures and we are so happy she chose us. Beth and Justin are a beautiful couple. Beth is an actress and Justin works as a sometimes host on the CW television network. The day was perfect, not a cloud in the sky. Beth was able to borrow $10,000 in jewels and pick out her ultimate dream dress. Luckily, there were no big surprises on this reality TV show... no farm animals or ex-boyfriends showing up!! Everything turned out perfect and the pictures with Times Square in the background are exciting and unique, just like this wonderful couple.

 

 

Valerie and Ian/Mendenhall Inn

Mendenhall Inn/ Wedding for Valerie & Ian in Longwood, Pennsylvania

 

Ian and Valerie were married at Lower Brandywine Presbyterian Church on one of the hottest days of the year!  Despite the heat, everyone was incredibly gracious and as these pictures show, looked amazing!  The reception was held in the Grand Ballroom at the Mendenhall Inn, in Mendenhall, PA.  We had so much fun working with Ian and Valerie - thanks for being so cooperative in the 100 degree temps!

Heather and Jason were married in a beautiful ceremony at Hotel DuPont on January 7th.  We just missed a major snowstorm! They were such a great couple to work with. Thanks again Heather and Jason
